It's that time of year when our free range, rare breed pork becomes available again (from this Saturday afternoon 3rd October)
Our rare breed Oxford Sandy and Black pigs are born outdoors, reared outdoors and spending their entire lives outdoors with space to root, forage, sunbathe, wallow in mud, sleep in the shade and socialise
Free range pork offers superior flavour, higher nutritional value and better animal welfare compared to intensively produced pork
They experience much less stress as they have freedom of movement and permanent outdoor access which significantly reduces stress and illness compared to crowded indoor facilities also meaning that they haven't needed any drug or antibiotic use
Their active lifestyle and diverse outdoor diet not only creates a better more natural life for them but also pork with darker colour, richer marbling and a more intense savoury flavour plus higher levels of beneficial Omega-3 fatty acids, vitamins, zinc and iron
