Lübecker christmas market - just never gets old. One of my favourite places to visit when back home in Germany for Christmas. It was good to see that there are vegan friendly options at almost every stall too now. It makes it an even better experience. My tray for the night was Poffertjes with marzipan sauce and white mulled wine.

The benefit of living and working in one country and visiting family back in another. This was a Daytrip to beautiful Schwerin in Germany. Yes, there are some epic castles in Germany and this is one of them. Schwerin is absolutely worth the visit; with its old town, endless cafes and eateries and its shopping mall. The highlight though is the castle and its surroundings.
