Join us tomorrow for First Pour Thursday!!!

Each Thursday at the taproom we’ll tap a new b**r so you can be the first to taste it! This week it’s Manhattan! So fresh that it’s literally being packaged right now!!! Back in 1994 Garrett Oliver, of Brooklyn Brewery fame, gave a talk at a seminar hosted by the British Guild of B**r Writers discussing the stateside revival of IPA. He brewed a golden IPA hopped with US Cascade and Goldings for Manhattan Brewery, which went on to inform the recipe for Brooklyn’s East India IPA. Garrett gave permission for Andy to publish the recipe in his home brew book, so this is an interpretation of that recipe brewed with Independent Salford B**r Festival and one you’ll want to try!

Our 10th birthday home brewing competition winner!

A few weeks back we hosted Robbie Bullough to brew his winning recipe after our selection day, hosted by The Malt Miller! This is a seasonal Dark Ale brewed in the historic Kentucky Common style, originating from Louisville. The final b**r is akin to a mahogany coloured ESB, but with lots of complex malt character using Crisp Malt and plenty of aroma from the Ernest hops. Perfect for this recent drop in temperature.

Our collab with Neighbourhood Brew Co. is here!

A few weeks ago we welcomed Jake and Corinne to brew with us! Five Minutes to the Beach is a seasonal American Brown Ale using some fantastic Crosby Hops. We packed this one with Comet for big citrusy notes, Columbus for heavy fruity dank hits and balanced it all with some Yakima Chief Hops Simcoe Cryo.

Drop the Pint Day! 🍺

We’re backing the Society of Independent Brewers campaign calling on the Chancellor to cut the tax on draught b**r served in pubs.

SIBA wants the duty difference between draught and packaged b**r increased from 13.9% to 30% or more — helping support pubs, independent breweries, local jobs and communities. To show our support this weekend, we’re serving a b**r at German duty prices, so that means £4.50 pints of cask, lovely!

Lower the tax on a pint in the pub. Support local b**r. Support local pubs.

Fresh on the taps and in the fridge today, Green Hopper!

Join us starting today for Green Hop Weekend! We’ll be pouring both our Green Hop releases from 2026 - on cask will be Progress, a 4.5% Golden Ale brewed in collaboration with the brilliant Women In B**r® using fresh Progress hops from Hawkins Farming, and on keg we have Green Hopper, a 4.2% Pale brewed with our friends The Shirker’s Rest using fresh Harlequin hops from Townend Farm Townend Farm | Hop Garlands

80kg of fresh hops went into each b**r - collected after being picked from the bine and driven straight to our brewhouse to be added!

Pouring from today at 4pm!
