Thatchers are inviting folks who are thinking about setting up a community orchard to complete their application form and potentially receive 10 apple trees from them to help set up community orchards:

Here at Thatchers, we’ve been growing apples and crafting cider for over 100 years, so you could say we know a thing or two about orchards!

The work session was well attended on Sunday and we got a few jobs done- these included cutting grass under the trees and mulching, sorting out the compost area, cutting back the edible hedge and weeding the willow dome.

Working sessions Sundays ( usually 11.00 - 4.00 ) on :
16th February; 16th March; 27th April; 18th May; 15th June; 20th July; 17th August; 21st and 28th September; 19th October; 16th November.

A.G.M - Sunday 23rd February 3.00 - 4.30 p.m.

Planting a new Willow dome for children - Saturday 8th March 10.00 - 1.00 on the orchard

Grafting Workshop Sunday 9th March 9.30am - 1.00pm

There are 5 spaces available. £20 per person includes a grafted tree to take home.
