Tony grew up in Liaoning, China on the northern Korean border, and dishes like this were a staple in the summer.

냉면 Naengmyeon, cold buckwheat noodles in iced broth 🧊❄️ with cucumber, coriander, pickled veg and sesame, plus a big plate of 凉拌菜 Liangbancai, cold mixed vegetables & tofu.

Won’t be replacing the kebabs anytime soon, but food like this is a big part of why we fell in love with cooking in the first place 💗

Last night after close we kept the kitchen open a little longer just for ourselves 🌞

Everyone had gone home, the shop was finally quiet, and we got to sit outside with some food and catch the last bit of sunlight for the first time all week.

One thing about hospitality is you spend most sunny evenings inside cooking for everyone else, so moments like this are rare.
