Amma, Happy Mother’s Day. To say I am grateful for you is an understatement. I thank Allah for the woman that he chose to be my mother. I wish there was a way I could dispense my inner most feelings to show you the love and gratitude I have for you.

There is just so much that I never understood myself until I became a parent. The level of selflessness, the strength and patience to raise us, the love and compassion you gave us. The fact that you put yourself last, time and time again to put your family first.

Thank you for loving me before I even knew what love really was. Thank you for the nights you stayed up late worrying about the poor choices I made in life. Thank you for standing by me, even when I rebelled, I let you down or disappointed you, thank you for loving me. You always held it down.

Thank you for believing in me, thank you for always being my well wisher, thank you for all your prayers, thank you for pushing me to be better, to want better and achieve more. Thank you for your continued thoughts and guidance.

When things turned dark, we turned to you, when days got bright, we turned to you, you gave us an unconditional love, an unspeakable love, an unimaginable love, a love so true that words could not reflect nor translate the kind of love you gave to us.

Thank you for all the sacrifices you made to afford us the privileges and opportunities you may not have had access to.

You raised me to do right, to speak truth, to be kind and honest in my efforts, you gave me praise and encouragement, you made me believe that anything is possible, that I could be and do anything I so wish to pursue.

You always held it down, you gave us strength when we were weak, you gave us support when times were tough, you inspired us, you taught us, you loved us and I know in this lifetime I may never be able to repay the debt I owe to you but I pray to Allah that he repays you for all that you sacrificed and gave to us.

March, is a month for all my ladies out there, a month to celebrate all the strong, independent and beautiful women you all are, if Beyonce was a month, she'd be March, classy and sassy!

March kick-starts off with international women's day on the 8th March, to celebrate all you ladies out there doing your 'thanggg', then mothers day, to celebrate our mother's, the ones that loved us before we even knew what love was.

We celebrate the first anniversary of The Fat Raj and it's Super Tidy Curry on the 22nd and finish on a bright note with Ray Ban season with the start of the British summer time on the 31st March! Who knows, we may get some sun 🤷‍♀️
