So, what are our Beef Boxes all about?

Well it's basically a 10kg share beef from our family farm here in Angus.

Always homebred
Always Native bred - Irish Moiled, Beef Shorthorn or Lincoln Red
Always Grass finished

This we know produces some fantastic food. Food we feed our family and we want to share it and for it to be enjoyed locally with your family too.

So what do you get?...

✅️A 10kg box of beef
✅️ A selection of Roasts, steaks, stewing, mince burgers and sausages. Essentially a 10 kg share of the animal.
✅️All vacuum packed, labelled and freezer ready.

Cost £200 per box

Next Batch will be available week commencing 6th July (exact day TBC) Collection from the farm. Limited number of boxes per batch. Further batches in Aug and September so we can add you to our waiting list.

Fancy even more beef? We can also do whole sides of beef butchered just how you want it.

We take great pride in bringing our native bred, grass finished beef from our family to yours.

Family day at Fife Show and what a wee team 💪

Another bull sale over and out!

Delighted to see Trainview Hugo off to a repeat customer with the McGowan family at Fingask. He joins the herd to work on their Trainview Laird daughters, who is still going strong! A great home for both bulls.

I won't lie it has been a very challenging week. James is out of action due to an injury. However we are so thankful to all our friends and family who have stepped in to lend us a hand, thank you all 😊

2.5 litres off just one quarter of a Beef Shorthorn coo. Left the rest for her big lump of a calf.

That will do our breakfast nicely tomorrow 😋

We're very particular about keeping bags right and don't normally take as much off so that they can regulate their supply out themselves... but we also love our milk...proper milk!

As you can tell from some of our bottle collection we're also fond of supporting milk straight from farms, proper whole milk with the cream on top.

Cows out 🌱

No better sight! Yes there was chaos before the calm, yes they went where I didn't want them to but our junior stockman stepped up and was a super help.

Really proud of how Alecs sense around stock is developing, his help was invaluable this morning

This is just a small batch out for now, as the grass grows more will follow.

Floeurs are back at our wee Hut at the farm. We have eggs too but these sell out fast each day...we have a plan for more hens...execution of said plan is on the list!

We had a wee road trip north this weekend. Over 6 hour drive with the trailer on. Weather, company and craic was in good form though!

Thats Tom Boy the bull off to his summer home.

Valerie Orr James and the boys from Trainview Livestock were up for a visit to collect him.

Grear fun was had by the boys, and we put the world to rights.

Good friends, good food and good craic.

Honestly, its what life is all about.

(We yapped so much I forgot to get any photos, so heres a throw back to Tom Boy when he arrived last year)

It's herd advert season!

Now that the Beef Shorthorn Cattle Society UK 2026 journal is on many doorsteps here's our little part of it.

2025 was a decent one for us and the work continues. Bulls available in February and May, as always watch this space for the details!
