🎃 Halloween is coming to Formby Bake Club! 👻🍰

For our October meeting, we’re getting creative with a Halloween Airbrushing Cake Decorating Tutorial — perfect for picking up some new decorating techniques and learning how to create spooky effects on your bakes at home.

We’ll be showing you how airbrushing can completely transform a cake, from bold colour gradients and eerie backgrounds to those little finishing touches that make a Halloween bake really stand out. ✨

At our latest meeting, we wanted to celebrate some of our most loyal members who have supported the club time and time again, so we surprised them with a lovely cake-inspired mug set as a small token of our appreciation. ☕️🧁

But we also want to say a huge thank you to every single person who has ever walked through our doors. Whether you’ve joined us for one meeting, pop in whenever you can, or rarely miss a month, please know that we genuinely notice and appreciate your support. Formby Bake Club wouldn’t be what it is without the people who come along, bring their bakes, join in with the demonstrations, chat to someone new and help create such a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

Every person who attends adds something to our little community, and we’re incredibly grateful that you choose to spend your evenings baking, learning and sharing them with us. 💛

This is what Formby Bake Club is all about! 🍰💛
Getting everyone involved, sharing those little baking tips and tricks you can take home with you, passing around samples, and giving our members the chance to come up and have a go for themselves.

We want our meetings to feel relaxed, friendly and hands-on — somewhere you can learn something new, meet other local bakers and enjoy plenty of delicious treats along the way.

Our October meeting is getting spooky! 🎃👻🍰

Join us on Wednesday 21st October for another evening of baking, learning and plenty of delicious treats at Formby Bake Club.

This month’s baking theme is GOOEY & SPOOKY 🕷️🍫 — so bring along any homemade bake that fits the theme. Think gooey brownies, creepy cookies, monster cupcakes, Halloween pies… or get completely creative!

We’ll also be getting into the Halloween spirit with a Halloween-inspired airbrushing demonstration, where you can pick up some new decorating skills and ideas to try at home. 🎨🎃

Our September baking theme was Back to School Classics 🎒🍰 — and our members absolutely delivered!

From pineapple upside-down cake to the ultimate classic school cake, we had some brilliant nostalgic bakes on the table and plenty of delicious treats to sample (as well as some party snacks to celebrate our one year birthday!)😍

For October, we’re switching things up with our next theme:

🎃 *GOOEY & SPOOKY*👻

Bake absolutely anything that fits the theme — whether it’s creepy, chocolatey, gooey, Halloween-inspired or just a little bit gruesome! We can’t wait to see what everyone comes up with. 🍫🕷️🧁

A little sneak peek into what our Formby Bake Club demonstrations are all about! 👀🍰

Each month, we welcome a guest speaker to lead part of our meeting and teach us a unique baking skill, technique or recipe. It could be absolutely anything — we just try to make sure every demonstration is fun, interesting and engaging, so there’s always something new to take away from the evening.

Our speakers usually chat and demonstrate for around 30–45 minutes, before we move on to one of our favourite parts of the night — sampling all of the amazing homebakes our members have brought along and having a good catch-up! 🧁☕️

Formby Bake Club is all about learning new skills, discovering new recipes, making new friends and sharing a love of baking. Because baking doesn’t have to be a solo hobby — it can be a whole local community. 💛

We had the pleasure of welcoming some wonderful new faces at our last meeting, and it was so lovely to see everyone chatting, celebrating and enjoying the evening together.

We can’t wait to welcome you all back for our next meeting on Wednesday 21st October, where we’ll be getting into the spooky spirit with a Halloween-inspired airbrushing tutorial! 🎃👻✨

Our last meeting was full of smiles, great company and, of course, plenty of delicious treats! 🍰 Hayley treated us to a fantastic demonstration, showing us how to make an incredible giant Jaffa Cake cake — and it certainly went down well with everyone! Another lovely evening at Formby Bake Club 🍊🍫

🎂 ONE YEAR OF INCREDIBLE BAKES! 🥳

As we celebrate Formby Bake Club turning one, we couldn’t let the occasion pass without celebrating the real stars of the club — the amazing bakes our members have prepared, created and brought along to share over the past 12 months! 💗

From beautifully decorated cakes and nostalgic favourites to savoury showstoppers, biscuits, breads, pastries and plenty of wonderfully creative surprises, every meeting has brought something completely different to the table.

What we love most is that every bake has a story behind it. Some are tried-and-tested family recipes, some are brand-new experiments, and some are simply an excuse to try something fun for that month’s theme!

And that’s exactly what Formby Bake Club is all about — baking, sharing, learning and bringing people together. 🧁✨

A huge thank you to every single member who has baked something, shared something, tasted something or simply come along and joined in over our first year.
