The apples in the orchard are telling us that autumn has arrived!
Looking back, summer passed by so quickly. It began with a Midsummer feast at Wester Lawrenceton Farm, where growers and producers gathered to celebrate our wonderful local food networks. Old friends and new shared good food and drink, and then we danced the evening away at a ceilidh, all in a beautiful setting.

Keep an eye on our page for news of future events. We'd love to have you join us!
And don't forget our 'pick your own apple days' starting this coming Friday.

One week away - looking forward to seeing many of you at the farm. What will you be making with the fruit you pick?

Autumn is arriving and so are fruit picking days!
Come and join us at the farm on the following dates and times to pick your own apples and pears:
- Friday 25th September between 2 and 5pm.
- Saturday 26th between 10am and 2pm.
- Sunday 27th between 2 and 5pm.
Remember to bring your own bags, baskets or boxes and a donation of £2 per kilo.
Some parts of the orchards are a little overgrown, so please wear sturdy footwear.

As our followers know, the last year or so has been one of transition for the farm. We are pleased to announce that on August 24th 2026, Califer Hill Ltd, the owner of Wester Lawrenceton Farm, agreed to transfer to a Community Interest Company (CIC) and to engage formally with T&T Management Services to support the regeneration of the farm and its buildings. This milestone both provides a means to ensure the Rodway Legacy and to access a range of grants and business support arrangements. The future focus is to ensure the farm and its work is sustainable. The core aims of local organic food production, land stewardship, knowledge sharing and community will continue alongside new ventures. The family and shareholders are grateful for the support being offered to ensure that Pam and Nick’s three decades of work nourishing the community and land will continue. Do keep an eye on the page for updates as developments progress. We look forward to sharing this exciting new chapter with our followers.
