Launching tomorrow, Sunday 18th October, and joining us every Sunday from now on, we’re bringing you slow-cooked hot pots, all the trimmings and the freshest flavours from our Cornish coast. 🌊
Gather around the table, tuck in and make a proper Sunday ritual of it.

Choose from Cornish ale beef blade, smoked haddock with creamed leek, or wild forest mushrooms with Madeira-braised Puy lentils.

One Year of Samphire🍃
One year ago, we opened the doors to Samphire for the very first time… and what a year it has been! 🥂🤍
From the very first day of the makeover to seeing the finished restaurant come to life, it’s been a year full of hard work, big changes, new faces, incredible food, plenty of cocktails and so many special memories.

Breaking news from the kitchen: Samphire on the Quay is a Finalist in Restaurant & Casual Dining of the Year! 🎉🍽️
Even better, we’re guaranteed a Gold, Silver or Bronze. That’s right, we’ve already won a medal and just need to find out which colour to polish. 🥇🥈🥉
Our chefs are currently doing a little happy dance between the pans. The front of house team have stopped pretending to be calm. And our dishwasher has asked if he gets a medal too (he does, in spirit).
A massive thank you to our brilliant team, and to every one of you who’s shared a table with us, left a lovely review, or come back for “just one more” crab dish. You did this. 💛
Now, if you’ll excuse us, we have a ceremony outfit to find and a lot of practising of our “surprised face” to do. 😄

From the team serving up the fun to the full-on carnival chaos, we absolutely loved getting involved and celebrating everything that makes Fowey so special.

A few questionable outfits, plenty of glitter, and a whole lot of good times 💚💜💛

Fowey Royal Regatta ⚓️🌊

For us at Samphire, Regatta is about more than just a busy week in Fowey. It’s the buzz around the harbour, familiar faces coming back year after year, boats filling the river, and the whole town coming to life.

It’s long lunches, good food, a few drinks, plenty of stories and that unmistakable Fowey atmosphere.

We’re proud to be part of it, and even prouder to be part of this little community we call home.
