We are pleased to release our latest 50th Birthday wine. Our very first Dessert Wine called Maron.
Named after the Greek God who was the hero of sweet wine, also an experienced man in the cultivation of the vine.
This is now on promotion in our vineyard shop @ £12.50 and available to taste Fridays and Saturdays - Opening times 11am to 4pm.

Pictured on the RHS of the label Maron is seen handing out his latest wine, no bottles in his time and no HMRC adding duty !🙂

While we are into our second week of picking the grapes our shop remains open between 11am to 4pm Monday to Saturday.
Starting w/c 9/10/2023 we move to our winter opening times of Fridays and Saturdays only from 11am to 4pm.

This is our 50th year of production and have launched our first Red Sparkling. Also planned is the release of our first dessert wine. More details to follow, watch this space.

The start of this season sees the vineyard celebrating it's 50th anniversary. Yes we have vines that are in their 50th year still producing a range of different styles.

Over the years more varieties have been added to give Shawsgate a wide range of wines to suit all tastes. Coming soon is the vineyards first dessert wine, like and follow us to keep in touch with what is happening here at Shawsgate.

Last years warm summer produced our highest level of natural sugar in our Solaris (early ripening) grape allowing this new style to be made.

This week we are open Tuesday to Saturday and from next week Monday to Saturday 10am to 5pm until the end of September. There is no charge to walk our lovely vineyard where we are dog friendly.
Various wines are available to taste free to enjoy in our courtyard.

These join our range of 4 Sparkling, 1 Red, 2 Rose`, 6 White, 2 Ciders and 1 Perry. A selection that covers all tastes and with our selection packs available truly offers a wide choice and as normal we are open today on Easter Monday.

Our next Tour and Tasting event this Saturday 15th April we have 4 places available for this 2 hour event starting at 2pm @£16.50 per person. Includes tasting of 4 wines, introduction to our vineyard, how we grow, harvest and make the wine together with a tour of the vines and winery. Tel: 01728 724060.
