Hello wonderful people of Gainsborough. The last of our current plant stock is out on our stall.
Huge selection of tomatoes - some named some are not - please take pity on the ones that are unnamed as they were the ones subjected to the vandalism and have survived!!! Some nice types such as ‘she loves veg’ white tomatoes but a lovely mixed selection. Also we have Cauliflower, broccoli and purple broccoli, aubergine, chillies and basil. Once they are gone they are gone. Come grab yourself a bargain!

Also Melon plants available! Please message us to collect from the house.

Please remember that the road is closed from Laughton direction (hopefully not for much longer) and to ignore the road closed signs from Gainsborough direction - the road is closed after us!

So sorry to tell you that we won’t have anything out for a bit now. We have unfortunately been vandalised. The money box has been stolen and the plants have been strewn all over the road. Middle of the day on a Saturday. You lose faith in humanity sometimes. We don’t do this for profit, never have. So if they are going to steal the money box then fair enough but to vandalise and destroy our plant stock out is gutting. Hugely disappointed.

For many years I admired my aunts hydrangea Annabelle. First picture is my eldest child in front of my aunts. She gifted me two cuttings about 8 years ago. They moved with us from the old house - see the picture in their pots to bring with us. The other picture is how my small cutting looks now. Not as spectacular as my aunts yet but I adore it. Last year we managed to get cuttings to gift to friends and family and kept one for myself. The young plants are last years cuttings from my other hydrangeas. Magnificant. I plan on doing more cuttings this year if anyone would like one reserving.

We highly recommend flower buckets from Morrisons to use as planters. You can usually get 5 for 99pence. Drill a few good drainage holes in and we find them perfect for our tomatoes and cucumbers. We grow some inside and some in the raised beds. But a cheap alternative. We fill half of gravel (cheapest can find or find some being given away on marketplace) this saves on soil and helps give good drainage. They don’t like soggy roots! This was after drilling holes in 10! My arms couldn’t do any more! We lost our beloved dog earlier this year at a grand age of 15. We decided to do some memorial pots for him. These are outside the doors of the greenhouse so that he is always with us in the greenhouse. If you would like to know how these were created - leave a comment or send a message and we will share how to make them waterproof. The plant pots are large and good value at £6 each from B&M. We’re always on the look out for a bargain. These have not yet got plants in- what should be planted??

Huge selection of plants out this morning and will be out all bank holiday weekend.
Selection of chilli, peppers, tomatoes of many varieties, aubergines, artichokes, courgette, cucumbers, zinnias, nasturtiums, sweet peas, marigolds. All in need of loving homes. All grown from seed at home.

Early March 2026 we purchased some extra large arches to fit across the raised planters. We will be trying vertical growing this year to try and create more space. These have now been netted, refilled with top quality soil and strengthen up. We plan on trying courgette, butternut squash, peas/beans/mangetout up them. We have an additional separate space for pumpkins this year. We love to have pumpkins for you all and our chickens love them. Pumpkins are great natural wormer for them and they are their favourite! That and melon( hope the melons grow!!)

One thing we really love is a big bright beautiful display in the hanging baskets! They have been planted up and hopefully will bloom and fill out for a spectacular display. I always do mixed baskets at the side of the house and begonia baskets - mixed of non-stop and illumination at the front of the house. All grown from plugs! Last years hanging baskets. Full of begonias. Hope I can do them as beautiful this year! So far they are still very small! Here’s everything crossed! Hopefully the youngest child’s green fingers will bring them on! That and tomorite!!!
