Every great team needs a famous duo… and we reckon Dawn & Liz are ours! 😂

Like Ant & Dec, they’re rarely seen without each other.
Like Morecambe & (Not so) Wise, there’s always plenty of banter.
And like The Chuckle Brothers… there’s usually a bit of “to me, to you” going on behind the counter! 🤣

Dawn & Liz are the friendly faces you’ll find at the front of shop, serving our customers, keeping the counter looking spot on and making sure everyone leaves with exactly what they came in for.

They’re a huge part of the Hamlets team — and we couldn’t do it without them!

With this miserable weather, there’s nothing better than a proper warming curry — and this week we’ve got 4 curries, all offering something a little different to suit everyone! 👌🏼

🌭 BEHIND THE SCENES AT HAMLETS! 🌭

Ever wondered how we make our sausages? 👀

Our sausages have become more and more popular over the years! From the classics to some of our more adventurous flavours, the range we offer is forever getting bigger and better. And we love the challenge of producing new sausages!

We’re always trying new flavours and coming up with something different, while making sure the quality stays where it should be.

So here’s a little behind-the-scenes look at how we make our sausages here at Hamlets. It would be great if it only took that long to make them however 👀💨

🌶️ CURRY WEEK IS COMING TO HAMLETS NEXT WEEK! 🌶️

🗓️Keeping in line with all the different themed weeks, from 5th–11th October, we’re bringing a taste of the curry house to Hamlets! 🍛

We’ll have FOUR curries to choose from:

🍗 Chicken Tikka
🐑 Lamb Rogan Josh
🌶️ Chicken Jalfrezi
🍗 Chicken Massaman

And for just £10, you can get your curry with rice & naan! Enough to feed two people! 🙌

Plus, we’ll also have our Bombay Potatoes available to add on. 🥔🔥

As a team, we honestly couldn’t be prouder of what we’ve managed to raise for Lancashire Mind.

It was a real team effort and seeing everyone get behind it has made all the hard work absolutely worthwhile. 🙌

The team set themselves the challenge of taking on the Guild Wheel Walk in Preston, in memory of Tim. Stepping out together to raise awareness and vital funds for mental health across Lancashire is something very close to their hearts.
Thanks to their dedication, generosity and community spirit, they have raised an amazing £6,439.61, plus an additional £1,485.63 in Gift Aid.
That brings their total contribution to an incredible £7,925.24!
Every pound raised will help us continue delivering life-changing mental health support, education and wellbeing services to people across Lancashire.
We are so grateful to everyone at Hamlets Butchers and to all those who sponsored, bought raffle tickets, contributed in the ‘guess the lamb’ competition, joined in the walk and created such a brilliant community spirit throughout. 💙

A huge congratulations to Ben, who came in to collect his prize after correctly guessing the weight of our chicken! 🎉👏

And how close was he?! 😱

Ben was just 4 GRAMS away from the actual weight! 🤯⚖️

That’s some serious chicken-weighing accuracy! 😂

🏆 ANOTHER 5 FOOD HYGIENE RATING! 🏆

We’re pleased to say we’ve recently had our food hygiene inspection — and we’re delighted to have maintained our 5 rating! 🙌

At Hamlets, we take just as much pride in what goes behind the counter as we do in the produce that goes out of it. 🥩🔪

From cleanliness and food safety to storage, temperature checks and keeping everything in order, there’s a lot that goes on behind the scenes to make sure we maintain the standards our customers expect from us.

We’re proud of the produce we put out every day, but we’re equally proud of the work that goes into keeping everything in check to maintain that 5 standard!

A big well done to the whole team for continuing to put the effort in behind the scenes! 👏
