Hi, my name is Wendy. My husband Kev and I live in the Dorset countryside and founded The UK Farm Shop Guide together in 2019 with the aspiration of creating a clean and easy to use directory of farm shops throughout the UK. In the past we have found it difficult to simply locate a good farm shop online while we are out and about along with helpful information such as opening times, contact detail
s, if they stock quality, locally sourced produce and any other services they offer. This is especially handy for planning ahead when taking a trip or break anywhere in the UK. We love to support farm shops that stock produce from local growers, artisan producers and stock regional delicacies with good provenance and low food miles. We are a part of the farm shop supply chain ourselves as we grow organic fruits and vegetables for some local farm shops from our four allotments and polytunnels. Kev is a keen ‘No Dig’ enthusiast and teaches others the same principles through social media and videos. We have worked in agriculture for over forty years and have a deep love of the countryside. So we decided to create a review-free site entirely based on location searches, and one that is easy to navigate on a laptop, tablet or phone. Many other sites are messy and overloaded with adverts. You can explore farm shops that feature low food miles, farm reared meat, veg box schemes, delivery services, in-house cafés and delis and much more. Search by special event such as cooking demonstrations, themed events, product launches, supper clubs, supplier evenings, taster sessions and activities for children. These are updated regularly on their listing and on our homepage. If you are a farm shop owner, why not Get In The Guide and add your business to our site? We hope you enjoy using the UK Farm Shop Guide. Support your local farm shop! 🌾
