the drinks industry. Inspired by Scotlands oldest cocktail, Atholl Brose, Liquid Oats is evidence of Scotland’s tradition evolved, with the recipe dating back to the 1400's. As the story goes, Atholl Brose was created by the 1st Earl of Atholl in a bid to ‘spike’ the enemies water well. He sent his men to spike the well with whisky, oats, milk and honey - a delicious sounding cocktail if you ask us! His plan was a success continuing his rein as Earl, and also made history by making the first cocktail on record in Scotland. Although our recipe is slightly different, (the biggest difference being that we are 100% Vegan friendly certified - meaning absolutely no honey or animal milk) we would imagine that an Atholl Brose tastes *almost* identical to Liquid Oats Sweet Vanilla. Made with vegan friendly ingredients, we love to serve Liquid Oats chilled, over ice and in the company of friends.
