Lanarkshire Community Food and Health Partnership provide salutogenic approaches to reduce diet and poverty related health inequalities and supply fruit and healthy eating advice for schools, business and more. LCFHP is a long established registered Scottish charity which has been working throughout North Lanarkshire for the past 22 years supporting local communities improve their health through better diet. The organisation is supported by North Lanarkshire Partnership, North Lanarkshire Council, NHS Lanarkshire and the Scottish Governments Enterprise Growth Fund to tackle health inequalities related to food access and healthy eating.

Thanks to everyone that attended our summer programme. Just a heads up that youth groups are off this week for staff training and we'll be back to our regular schedule next week!

And a huge shout out to the everyone that helped make the Summer Programme happen. Thanks to the Coatbridge Pride in Place Community Empowerment Grant Fund for fully funding our Summer programme. Thanks to Lanarkshire Community Food and Health Partnership (LCFHP) for providing our fruit and cooking lessons. Thanks to Coatbridge Listening Labs for coming in to hear the voices of Bargeddie. And thanks to the council for providing transport.

Do you work alongside people experiencing financial hardship?

A new online resource centre has just been launched across Scotland to support a cash-first approach to tackling food insecurity and poverty.

The Community Food National Reference Group — a partnership between Edinburgh Community Food, CFINE, Glasgow Community Food Net and Lanarkshire Community Food and Health Partnership — has worked collaboratively to create this resource. It provides access to key information on both local and national support.
