Thomsons Coffee Scotland's Oldest Coffee Roaster and Tea blender since 1841 Our flame-roasted coffee remains one of the constants in an ever-changing world.

When Thomsons first opened its doors in Victorian Glasgow’s
Renfield Street as a purveyor of the finest coffee, the car, telephone
and light bulbs had yet to be invented. All our coffee is hand-prepared by our Master Roaster. The traditional method of flame-roasting adds the unique character and depth of flavour that has attracted generations of discerning coffee lovers.

At the beginning of June, Klaudia of Short Long Black Coffee selected our Honduran Geisha to compete with at her first performance in the UK Barista Championship. SLB are very good friends of ours, and a longstanding wholesale customer — we’re immensely proud of Klaudia’s routine, and we look forward to what she brings next year!

The final roast of Pedro Moreno Geisha is available now — mega sweet with a black tea tannin vibe and a sparkling apple acidity. Try it iced, and finish this one off in style.

Since last year, we’ve been working quietly behind the scenes to bring our vision for a new space to life.

As we mark 185 years of Thomson’s Coffee, our Candleriggs shop brings us back to the heart of Glasgow city centre.

Building on what you know and love at our Gallowgate and Giffnock shops, it’s a space that starts with exceptional coffee, then shifts into your new favourite spot for drinks.

The fit-out is well underway, and we can’t wait to welcome you through the doors in late summer. We’re excited to share more with you soon.

We are proud to be collaborating with on a donation project with in Guatemala. We wanted to work on a project where our contributions extend beyond paying fair prices for coffee.
