New + back from Thompson Bros Dornoch Distillery

Back: a 18 year old mystery Highland malt! This 18 year old (what!) has been aged in re-fill wood and packs a punch! Think charred nuts, sizzling herbs and stewed fruits like apples and quince. On top of all of this the peat is bright and zippy! Slick and powerful!

New: a 16 year old malt that has spent its final 6 years in ex-Moscatel casks. Honeycomb and orange peel with caramel milk chocolate and blonde biscuits. A true delight.

Lili’s excited because lovely Roots, Fruits & Flowers Kyle has brought us an autumnal delight of apple pie plus some maple mascarpone cream. Thanks Kyle! We in turn gave him a bottle of (we’re rebuilding the sweeties, it’s time…) a bottle of Cidrerie Kerisac (it’s always time) and a can of Vault City Brewing apple pecan maple cream sour because we would like him to make a pecan pie, please?

If you like the the Canace, the Bedoba, and a good old fashioned Primitivo… you will like this w**e!

It’s 100% Aglianico and it’s big, juicy, silky and perfect for this drizzly Friday evening!
