Flat Pack Meals is a volunteer led, not-for-profit, food project aiming to provide local communities with affordable and healthy recipe packs to cook at home every week. Each meal and soup pack contains all the ingredients required to cook the recipes along with detailed instructions. By offering these food packs we hope to not only make it easier to have a low-cost and

healthy home cooked meal every week but to also teach, motivate and inspire confidence in our customers to cook for themselves. We believe this will help our customers to continue, and also enjoy, making affordable, healthy choices throughout the week for themselves and their families.

๐ŸŒธ CALLING THE WOMEN OF EASTERHOUSE ๐ŸŒธ

Have you lived, worked, volunteered, raised a family, campaigned, cared for others, or helped shape life in Easterhouse? Or you know someone like this who may have passed?

We want to hear your story.

This July, we're launching Mothers of the Scheme a creative community project celebrating the women who have helped build and sustain our communities through their strength, resilience, kindness and activism.

Join us for a series of free workshops where we'll collect memories, stories, photographs, songs, artwork and local history. Together we'll create a living archive and community art exhibition that celebrates the women of Easterhouse and Greater Easterhouse.

You don't need to be an artist, writer or performer. You simply need a story, a memory, or a willingness to share your experiences.

๐Ÿ’œ Open to women of all ages
๐Ÿ’œ Free to take part
๐Ÿ’œ No previous experience needed
๐Ÿ’œ Tea, chat, creativity and community

Whether you've lived here all your life, worked in the area for decades, or have memories of growing up in Easterhouse, we'd love to welcome you.

To get involved or find out more, please email:

Please share with the amazing women in your life who deserve to have their stories remembered and celebrated.

๐ŸŒŸ WOMEN OF EASTERHOUSE ๐ŸŒŸ

HELP US TELL THE STORIES THAT SHAPED OUR COMMUNITY

East End Flat Pack Meals is launching a community arts and heritage project celebrating the women whose activism, leadership, and dedication have helped shape Easterhouse and Greater Easterhouse.

We are looking for:

๐Ÿ“ธ Women who have made a difference in our communities
๐Ÿ“– Stories of local activism and community action
๐Ÿ–ผ๏ธ Photographs, memories, newspaper clippings, and community history
๐ŸŽค Community organisations to nominate volunteers, workers, board members, and local champions

We are particularly keen to hear from the older generation who can help us capture the stories that might otherwise be lost.

โ“Do you remember community projects, campaigns, groups, or local initiatives from years gone by?

โ“Did you or someone you know have links to community activity on Dunphail Street during the 1960s or 1970s?

โ“Do you know anything about a women's football team, local women's groups, or community-led projects from that period?

We want to hear from you.

Together we will create a community memory wall, oral history archive, photography exhibition, and live performance celebrating the women who helped build our community.

๐Ÿ’œ Help us preserve our history for future generations.

Lovely morning at East End Flat Pack Meals ๐Ÿ’›

We put together a continental breakfast spread today with pastries, pancakes, yoghurt, fresh fruit and plenty of other goodies ๐Ÿ“๐Ÿฅ

It was all for a great workshop with Glasgow Community Energy, and there was such a good buzz in the roomโ€”lots of positive conversations around funding and how we can best serve our communities moving forward.

Breakfast was provided by our team, and it was great to see everyone enjoying it while getting stuck into meaningful discussions.

Just a reminder that we can cater for both small and larger events here at Flat Pack Mealsโ€”whether itโ€™s meetings, workshops or community gatherings, weโ€™ve got you covered ๐Ÿ™Œ

If youโ€™re interested, just give us a shout!
