This is your sign to take yourself for dinner and read some pages!!! It’s been a while I went on a wee solo date and I chose good for my first one back with a wee dinner at G l o r i o s a - the food, service and vibe were excellent I honestly can’t believe this was my first time properly eating here! I went for the lamb belly which was cooked to perfection and the famous focaccia (can confirm it lives up to the hype), mint stracciatella which was so so fresh and a delicious homemade pear soda.

Im currently reading The Ten Year Affair by Erin Somers - it’s slow paced and complex and the writing is complex. Im really enjoying jt so far and it feels different to what I’ve been reading lately 📕

Having a tbr pile and a “to be bought” pile is normal, right? 😂 Saw these in wasterstones and immediately added them to the list 📚💖 We love a book, but we also love supporting the independent bookshops that make our cities so special, so I’ll be picking these up from one next time I’m out and about!

Read this one completely blind and honestly… It had me HOOKED 👀

A 4⭐️ read for me! I loved that this was told entirely from the wife’s point of view, especially because I was never quite sure whether I could actually trust what she was telling me. I was questioning everything and completely caught up in the story right until the very end.

It’s definitely a heavy read and not an easy one, but the writing and the sense of unease kept me turning the pages. One of those books where you need to talk about it afterwards!

I picked up Like Birds in the Wilderness from Ullapool Bookshop and what better place to start reading it than with a view of Rhue Lighthouse 🌊📖 The book caught my eye because of the gorgeous cover - it’s set on the West Coast of Scotland in the 80s and is a darkly funny story exploring addiction, masculinity and work. Definitely one of my most scenic (and peaceful) reads to date! Plenty more from our little West Coast road trip coming soon 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Christina | The Book Club and I went to an Sarah workshop at FIVE MARCH last night to make embroidered cocktail napkins and honestly it was the perfect way to spend the night with your bestie!! having neverrrr used a needle and thread before I was a bit worried about how easy this would be but Sarah was such a lovely host and made sure I knew what to do every step of the way (definitely helped in the trickier parts!). I was so pleased with how my napkins turned out and we even got a delicious burger and potatoes to share during the workshop 🪡 (obviously the 🦞 is Christina's showing offfff)
