A wee notice to all our lovely customers 🫶🏻👨🏻‍🍳

Unfortunately, Monty's received its first counterfeit note last week.

As a result, from tomorrow onwards, myself or a member of staff will be checking all notes with a UV light before accepting them.

Please don't be offended if you're asked to wait a moment while we do this. Every note will be checked, no exceptions — customers, friends, family, and regulars included.

As a small independent business, even one fake note can have a real impact. This simple step helps protect Monty's and allows us to continue growing and serving our amazing community.

VIP visitors this past week 🫶🏻👨🏻‍🍳

Had some very special visitors through the doors at Monty's this week!

My baby sister, her fiancé Nad, and my gorgeous wee nephew Zayn (just look at that hair! 😆). Zayn also became the very first baby to use the new high chairs in the café.

We also had my second cousin David pop in (although I've been introducing him to folk as Billy Connolly 🤣).

On top of that, we've had loads of amazing regulars dropping by throughout the week. Seeing familiar faces come back day after day and week after week honestly means the world to us.

Monty's is feeling the love, and myself and the team can't thank you all enough for your support.

Thanks for helping turn my wee dream into a reality 🫶🏻❤️

Week 2 done and dusted 😎

This week alone we've had a new grill arrive after the last one packed in on Monday, and a new cake display fridge arrive on Thursday... not that you lot let me keep it full for very long 😂

Am I tired? Absolutely.
Was it worth it? Every single second. 🫶🏻

A massive thank you to my amazing staff, my incredible family, and every single one of my loyal customers who have supported me these first couple of weeks.

What started as a dream is now a reality because of all of you. I'll never stop being grateful, and I'll never stop working hard to bring the best food, cakes, and value possible to our community. 👨🏻‍🍳❤️

Last week it lasted 6 days, this week it only lasted 5 days 😆😂

Thank god I ordered a back up that came today 😆😂
