We are a pop up community kitchen running out of Glasgow University's Queen Margaret Union, tackling food waste and providing free nutritious meals to anyone and everyone. We run a twice monthly Free Pop Up event aimed at feeding whoever and however many happy faces we can, as well as providing an open space for anyone in the community to come along and meet some people. om the 28th September from 6pm at Glasgow University's Queen Margaret Union. Check our Facebook and instagram for regular updates! We operate using food obtained by donation, relying on local businesses and their donations each week. This means the meal will be tailored to get the best out of what we receive each week, changing from event to event. But rest assured the food will always be vegan friendly and will try our best to remain allergen free, so there's something for everyone! How much for some grub? Absolutely nothing!!! We operate off a pay what you can basis, if you liked the food and are able to, any thing you can afford would go a long way to help us. This will help to cover the costs of food safety and hygiene licenses, basic ingredients (Salt, Pepper, cooking oil etc.) And any profits will be distributed to our food based charity partners. Is there drinks? We do not directly supply any alcoholic beverages but the Bar run by QMU will be open upstairs if you fancy a drink. How can I get involved? We are always looking for more help, if you think you can bring something extra to our project, we would love to hear from you.
