The history of S Collins & Son begins in 1955, when the shop (at that time George Brownlie butchers) came into the Collins family, trading from 217 Main Street, Coatbridge. The shop quickly gained a reputation in the area for providing the best in quality meat and service, and gained many loyal customers. The business was family-run from the start, and as it expanded the business was passed on the

next generation, becoming S Collins & Son Butchers. S Collins & Son are members of the Q Guild of Butchers, an organisation dedicated to promoting quality, individuality, and the very highest standards and practices of food preparation. Membership of the Guild signifies a butcher dedicated to excellence. S Collins & Son is a family run butcher shop based in Muirhead,Glasgow. With locally sourced meat and fresh, home-made products, the shop boasts 75 industry awards, amongst which Scottish Butcher shop of the Year 2016/2017, Lanarkshire Business Award for Best Food & Business and many Gold Medals for their products at specialist fairs.
