Last week I introduced you to Lois, the queen of the herd. (aka BULLY) This week, meet her oldest son... Edison.
Edison holds a special place in our hearts because he was the very first kid ever born on our farm. ❤️
Edison is convinced that every fence, gate, feeder, bucket, and mysterious object exists purely for him to investigate.
Over the years we've had to take apart hay feeders because he managed to get himself so stuck we couldn't simply pull him out. He's gotten himself wedged in fences more times than I can count.
That's exactly why he wears a collar. It's not for looks... it's so I have something to grab when Mr. Curious gets himself into another predicament.
And then there was the day the vet came to test the herd.
The vet and technician asked why Edison was wearing a collar since he was so friendly. I explained, "Trust me... you'll see."
I walked away to get another goat.
I heard yelling and came back to find the vet and technician wrestling Edison to the ground, trying to pry his mouth open.
While no one was looking, he'd gotten into their medical supplies and decided the box of needles looked like a tasty snack.
Despite all of his misadventures, Edison is the sweetest, calmest goat you'll ever meet. He's gentle with everyone, loves attention, and somehow manages to worry us and make us laugh at the very same time.
