This new Glendronach Handfilled is absolutely spectacular! I was fortunate enough to be there at the distillery when this cask was pulled out and managed to get the first few bottles along with my friend Tom Pemberton .
Cask 354 is a 15 year old matured in a Pedro Ximenez Puncheon and bottled at 59%, bottle #8 from the cask.

Day 1 in Campbeltown - We had a warehouse tasting at Kilkerran. Our guide Aly was very knowledgeable and kept us entertained with various tales of the whisky industry and Kilkerran/Springbank.
A short walk from the distillery shop led us to one of the dunnage warehouses. We sampled from 6 different casks -
2006 triple distilled Kilkerran in a refill bourbon barrel 55%
2005 Kilkerran in a refill bourbon hogshead
2016 Kilkerran in a fresh sherry hogshead 59.4%
2013 Kilkerran in a refill sherry hogshead
2013 Kilkerran in a Port Pipe at 58%
And lastly a 2015 heavily Peated Kilkerran in a fresh bourbon barrel
All of the pours were great, my personal favorites were the refill sherry and the refill bourbon hogshead. Needless to say a few of these came home with me and will be opened.

Part 2 of our Glengoyne tour - we tasted some amazing pours. Glengoyne 17 year Scottish Oak, the OG teapot - Teapot Dram #1, Russel’s Reserve 38 year single cask, Charlie’s choice and Robbie’s choice. We wrapped up another excellent trip to Scotland earlier this month! We started by driving down from Aberdeen to the village of Dumgoyne, making stops at Dunnottar Castle and Sterling Castle. A big shoutout to Stuart Hendry for giving us an amazing tour!

What an amazing tour and tasting at The Glengoyne Distillery. We had a great tour with Bob, Stuart and Gregg to look at the production process, the filling station and their warehouses. The tasting comprised of - the distillery cask - a refill European Oak, the Mizunara cask, 17yr Scottish oak , 38 year Russel’s cask, Teapot Dram 1, Teapot dram 11, Charlie’s choice, Robbie’s choice and Billie’s choice
