Personal statement ❤️
Yesterday, the Spuddies Southside store officially went up for sale.
First of all, I just want to say THANK YOU. ❤️
The number of enquiries we’ve received already has honestly been incredible, especially considering it has only been up for one day.
I also want to make something really clear to our customers, our community and everyone who continues to support us:
SPUDDIES SOUTHSIDE IS 100% OPEN AND CONTINUING BUSINESS AS USUAL. 🥔❤️
This isn’t a failing business. Far from it. This is a growing business that I am incredibly proud of.
And we are not opening the door to just anyone.
It has to be the right person, with the right vision and the right values for what we have built.
There’s a saying: If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.
I still have plans, ideas and opportunities for Spuddies. With the right person beside me going forward, who knows… maybe I’m not going anywhere. Maybe this is the opportunity to take Spuddies to another level.
At the same time, personal opportunities have come my way. Doors have opened for me that I never imagined would open. I’ve met a different class of people on this journey, and opportunities are now in front of me that I feel I need to explore.
Sometimes, to step through a new door, you have to be willing to let something else go.
But whatever happens next, I want to say how incredibly proud I am of myself, my family and the entire Southside team for what we have built over the last 17 months.
It has honestly been amazing.
I’ve learned more, grown more and gained more experience in those 17 months than I could ever have imagined. Lessons that could easily have taken me years and years to learn.
And there’s something else I want to say.
I’ve received a lot of hate for putting myself out there. For believing in myself. For trying things. For speaking openly. For refusing to live in fear.
But I understand it.
Because I know what it feels like to look at someone else from your own current standpoint and judge what you see.
What people don’t always see is the work.
The early mornings.
The late nights.
The pressure.
The failures.
The sacrifices.
The fear.
The times you want to give up but keep going anyway.
This month marks 5 years sober for me from alcohol and drugs.
There was a time in my life when I didn’t want to be here anymore.
Today, I want to LIVE.
And by the grace of God, I am still here. 🙏
Everything that has happened—the good, the bad, the mistakes, the lessons, the pain and the breakthroughs—has become part of my story and my testimony.
Where I stand today is in God’s will and God’s will alone.
And wherever I go from here will be God’s will and God’s will alone.
So build each other up.
Grow strong.
Go together.
Learn how to love. ❤️
Keep believing, even when other people can’t see what you can see yet.
I am blessed to be in this position. 🙏
Thank you to every single person who has supported me, my family, my team and Spuddies.
And to Josh and Mark Scottish Business Agency I couldn’t have any better guys taking control of this full process for me .
This isn’t the end of the story.
Let’s see where the next chapter takes us. ❤️🥔
