Hello to some new followers and old alike, my name is Laura Rose and I’ve been running my little micro business, Blue Lias Kitchen, for 3 years. Based in the heart of Avalon, Glastonbury in the south west of the UK I am a private retreat chef, but also run workshops, host music events and all kinds of other little interesting side hustles that keep me curious. I love to showcase what beautiful produce and producers there in this neck of the woods and talking of woods, I foraging too! These unique events fill me with so much inspiration and hope. My next White Room Session is Saturday October 3rd with musicians still to be confirmed. Keep an eye out for updates!
The acoustics and all round feel of this old room are just so wonderful, so if you’re interested in renting this space for recording or filming your music please get in touch, I’d love to hear from you 🤍💚🤍

A beautiful week ahead with Thursdays untutored life drawing with the my beautiful friend and local artist LUCY LITCHFIELD and on Saturday night I will be hosting two or three (perhaps even four!) incredible southwest based musicians in the form of Stevie Potier Jades_World... and Ryan McMurtry. We’ll celebrating the incredible talent that his part of the world has to offer and there’ll be some of my seasonal, foraged grub available too 💚

Alongside Stevie P, I am so excited to be hosting Ryan McMurty at the next White Room Sessions.

Originally from Belfast, Ireland, now based in Bristol, Ryan McMurtry blends fingerstyle guitar and understated melodies with soft lyrics to land on something pensive, subtle, and psychedelic. His songs have drawn comparisons to classic artists like Nick Drake and John Martyn, as well as contemporary artists like Fionn Regan.
His music has also been supported by BBC Introducing, CLUNK Magazine, Obscure Sound and others in the past year.

Other projects

Ryan is also the lead songwriter and guitarist in two Bristol-based bands, Claudine and Play Misty.

One of the two incredible performances at my next White Room Sessions is Stevie P, a South London born singer/songwriter/composer, now living in my home town of Glastonbury. His songs are honest and elemental with intricate, weaving guitar lines, strongly influenced by his passion for worldwide traditional music.
His solo album, “Moments Notice” is an enchanting collection of soulful and often tender songs of love, loss and new beginnings.
Playing alongside Stevie P, will be Jade Morris, also currently based in Glastonbury and studying medical herbalism. Follow link in my bio to listen to more of Stevie P and his trio Intravaganza 🤍
