🌽 Forager picked up some metal in the maize today, luckily caught before it caused any real damage.

All part of harvest, you never quite know what’s hiding in the field. Luckily we had CLAAS Western to lend a hand 👌

🔥 Forager started smoking yesterday evening, turbo running red hot with maize dust and debris built up around the engine.

Got it back to the yard fast, soaked it down and cleared the build-up with the compressed air line. Now waiting on a part that isn’t even in the country.

Turned out the DPF was blocked solid with maize dust, that’s what had the turbo running red hot and smoking. Cleared it out and we’re back up and running again now. Harvest continues.

3, 2, 1… first load’s in. Diesel’s flowing, blades are turning, and the pit’s finally taking shape. Maize harvest is officially live at Church Farm, no messing about, just steel, silage and a couple of long days ahead.

Please be aware that we are bringing in our maize from the fields today and tomorrow.

Passage Road and Church Road will be busy with contractor traffic.
Please make sure if you are parking on the side of the road on Church Road so that you leave enough room for a tractor trailers to come through.

🌟 We’re thrilled to share that Church Farm has been awarded a 5 star Food Hygiene Rating, “Very Good”! 🌟

A huge thank you to everyone who has supported Church Farm Beef so far. This rating reflects the care and attention that goes into everything we do, from the cows right through to the boxes that land on your doorstep.

Every cut is dry aged for 28 days and grown at Church Farm, in the horseshoe bend of the River Severn.

We’re also now taking meat orders for next week, DM us to find out more.

🌽 Mark Davies from greenfarmseeds and farmer Chris have walked the maize this afternoon, and the time has come, it’s ready to come off at the end of the week. 🌽

Despite the lack of rain this year, we’re pleased with the crop as it stands. Looking forward to the contractors coming at the end of the week to cut it.

All beautifully marbled, dry aged for 28 days, from ex-dairy Holstein beef raised here in the horseshoe bend of the River Severn.
