We are looking for a reliable and hardworking individual to join our well-established livestock farm. This is a key role in the daily care and management of our farm and herd. The position offers a wide range of opportunities, from gaining specialist livestock knowledge, to enhancing your countryside management abilities. This is a fantastic stepping stone, providing an excellent chance for personal and professional growth in the agricultural sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Feeding and maintaining approx. 330 Pedigree Aberdeen Angus cattle and Approx. 80 Wiltshire Horn sheep
- Assisting with daily farm and facility management tasks
- Handling cattle with care and respect
- Assisting with breeding, calving, and various seasonal activities
- Ensuring exceptional high standard of animal health and welfare
Requirements:
- Previous experience with livestock
- Strong work ethic and a keen interest in agriculture
- Skilled tractor driver and telly handler operator
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid UK driving licence
