🐑 Why we do what we do.

For people who raise their own animals, we know they’re never just livestock.

Home kill means there’s no unfamiliar journey, no loading into a trailer and no unnecessary stress. The animal remains at home, in familiar surroundings, and everything is carried out calmly, professionally and with respect.

We recently carried out a home kill for a customer’s lambs, and afterwards they sent us a message that genuinely meant a lot to us. ❤️

🐷 3 Great White Pigs — Processed On Farm in Norfolk

Another trip to Norfolk for Green Fields Home Kill & Butchery, this time to process three Great White pigs on their own holding.

For many smallholders, being able to have their pigs processed at home means avoiding the stress of loading and transporting them to an abattoir.

The animals stay in familiar surroundings, with the whole process carried out calmly, professionally and with welfare at the centre.

Five sheep processed for a customer in Herefordshire this week.

For many smallholders, on-farm processing offers a practical alternative to transporting animals away from the holding. It allows livestock to remain in familiar surroundings, helping to reduce stress and avoid unnecessary journeys.
