Tuesday nights are quickly becoming serious business at The Four Horseshoes! 🎯

Another brilliant darts night with plenty of competition, a few newcomers stepping up to the oche, and the standard improving week after week.

Justin managed to retain his crown 👑, but Ben pushed him all the way and had to settle for a very close second place. The rematch is already being talked about!

After the darts, all eyes turned to England. Not quite the performance we were hoping for after the last game, but it’s onto the next one and we’ll be right behind them. ⚽️

Happy Father’s Day from all of us at The Four Horseshoes 🍻

Somebody once told us the definition of loyalty…

Then they ordered our beef brisket three times in one week. 🥩😂

The sunshine has been doing its job today, with the decking busy from lunchtime onwards and a steady stream of food heading out of the kitchen.

Meanwhile, the darts board has been getting plenty of attention. A few of the locals have been in sharpening their skills ahead of Tuesday night’s showdown. There are definitely a few players who think they’ve got what it takes… we’ll see.

Good food, cold drinks, great company and a bit of friendly competition. That’s what summer evenings at The Four Horseshoes are all about.

After extensive judging, rigorous testing and what can only be described as a remarkable commitment to quality control, the results are in.

The judges examined the meat ratios.
They inspected the pastry.
They sampled every entry.

After much deliberation, Lily took the crown and was officially named our Sausage Roll Champion! 🏆

Commiserations to Ben, who has now discovered there is, in fact, one thing he isn’t the best at. We suspect he’ll be demanding a rematch next year.

A huge thank you to everyone who entered, judged and sampled. The standard was surprisingly high and the competition was fierce.
