7 DAYS TO GO!

This time next week, we’ll be making the final preparations before opening the doors to our Christmas Shop & Food Hall the following morning!

Behind the scenes, we’ve been busy transforming the barn and filling the shelves with everything from Christmas decorations and gifts to festive favourites, chocolates, sweets, jams, chutneys, crackers and plenty of delicious seasonal treats.

There’s still lots to do before those doors open, but it’s all starting to come together and we can’t wait for you to see it.

Our Christmas Shop & Food Hall opens Saturday 17th October and will then be open right through until Christmas Eve.

Just 7 days to go…. Christmas at Broadditch is nearly here!

Sad day at Broadditch Farm 💔

Today we said goodbye to a very special member of the Broadditch family – our lovely farm cat, Thomas

Thomas came to us from a rescue centre back in 2014, when they estimated he was around six years old. He wasn’t quite domesticated enough for life in a conventional family home, but he wasn’t truly feral either, so life on the farm turned out to be absolutely perfect for him.

For the past 12 years, Thomas has had the freedom of the farm – roaming wherever he pleased, sleeping in the barns, finding his favourite cosy spots and, of course, always knowing exactly where to come for his food!

He was certainly a bit of a monkey in his younger days and kept us on our toes, but as the years went by he mellowed into the loveliest old boy. He became almost like a little dog, following certain members of the team around the farm and keeping them company while they worked.

At around 18 years old, Thomas had reached a wonderful age and had a long and happy life here. He was so loved by all of us at Broadditch, as well as by many of our customers who have met him and said hello to him over the years.

The farm really won’t be quite the same without Thomas wandering around.

Sleep tight, lovely boy. You’ll be very much missed 💙🐾🌈

🎃HALLOWEEN AT BROADDITCH 2026 🎃

Halloween is going to look a little different at Broadditch this year...

At Broadditch, our crops rely on natural rainfall rather than irrigation, so the weather plays an important part in how well they grow. Unfortunately, this year’s exceptionally dry conditions have had a huge impact on our pumpkin crop.

In a normal year, we grow around 20,000 pumpkins for October. This year, we’re expecting only around 1,500.

Sadly, this means we won’t be opening our Pick Your Own Pumpkin field this October. We simply don’t want families making the trip to us only to find there aren’t enough pumpkins to enjoy the experience.

BUT HALLOWEEN AT BROADDITCH ISN’T CANCELLED! 🎃👻

We’ve got something new in the works especially for our younger visitors – but we’re keeping that under wraps for just a little longer. Watch this space... 👀

🎃 PUMPKIN CARVING WORKSHOPS ARE BACK!

Join us from Monday 26th – Thursday 29th October for our Pumpkin Carving Workshops.

£7.50 per person – pumpkin included!
Pre-booking is essential – places must be booked in advance
Book your Pumpkin Carving Workshop here: https://spookycastle.digitickets.co.uk/tickets?branches.branchID=716

Love pumpkin carving but hate the mess? Come and make it at ours instead! We provide everything you need – you do the carving, take your masterpiece home, and leave us with the seeds, stringy bits, and clearing up!

Our homegrown pumpkins and squash will also be available to buy from the Farm Shop throughout October.

Our Spooky Trailer Ride will be taking a break this year too. It has always been part of the whole pumpkin-picking experience and, without PYO running, unfortunately it just isn’t viable to operate it in the usual way.

We know many of you make Broadditch part of your Halloween traditions and we’re disappointed too. But this is just a break for 2026. All being well with next year’s growing season, we hope to have our traditional Pick Your Own Pumpkin field and Spooky Trailer Ride back for Halloween 2027. 🎃

Thank you, as always, for supporting our family farm – sometimes Mother Nature simply has other plans
