Matt recently visited Uptons of Bassett to support Simon and the team with a fresh selection of tapas style butcher counter ideas.

The session focused on quick, colourful and ready to cook options designed to bring more variety, flavour and value to the counter.

The range included Bombay bhaji style trays, cheesy garlic mushrooms, Italian caprese, spicy caprese, fully loaded baguettes, Korean BBQ pork belly and a rich Massaman curry style dish.

Uptons of Bassett has built a fantastic reputation for quality butchery, homemade bacon, terrines, pies, breakfasts and lunches, and recently won Best Butchers Shop at the Plumpton College Butchery and Meat Products Awards.

A brilliant example of a traditional butcher continuing to develop fresh ideas while staying true to quality and craft.

Dalziel Butchers Show Highlights.

A fantastic day at the Dalziel Butchers Show, with an exceptionally busy stand, plenty of food inspiration and a brilliant response to the new curries and World Grill ideas.

Visitors loved the displays, enjoyed sampling the products and got involved with the prize wheel throughout the day.

Bryce recently supported Peter Harrison from Dalziel at S. Collins & Son, working alongside Stewart Collins and Kelly to create an exciting new range of ready meals and side dishes.

The session focused on practical, premium meal solutions for the cooked department, including comforting classics, bold world inspired mains and a strong side dish selection.

A brilliant example of how butchers can add value, increase counter choice and offer customers convenient, high quality meals to cook at home.
