Tomorrow our cricket field is host to the annual Fred Parker memorial cricket match. It starts at 1pm and there will be a BBQ, Bar, Raffle and tea and cake. Come and support this lovely village event!

THANK YOU, to everyone who voted for us to be shortlisted in the Best Local Food Producer category in the Melton BID awards! We have got through to the final, with the winners being announced in September. It really does mean a lot to a small local business like ours 🥛🐄

🔥HEAT🔥 The vending machines are really struggling in this heat, and as we expect temperatures to soar again tomorrow, our middle vending machine will be out of action. A smaller selection of milkshakes, eggs and other bits will be available in the left hand side machine. Thank you for your patience!

Just a reminder we’ll be closed next Sunday 16th August for one day. Please make sure you’re stocked up before this date to avoid disappointment! Milk will still be available at March House Farm, Gates Garden Centre, Roots Farm Shop, Wigston Deli and Elms Farm Costock. Thank you!

Our Kids bookshelf is looking a bit bare! Please help us to fill it so children can continue to enjoy our free book swap shelf. If you are having a summer clear out of books we’d be grateful to have them. Please remember if you are using the free children’s library, please only take a couple of books at a time and be sure to bring them back so more children can enjoy. Unfortunately we have noticed some people taking large quantities, including someone who specifically brought a large shopping bag to fill and never return! It’s a lovely asset that so many children enjoy, please help us to keep it going 📚📚📚
