A couple of weeks ago, our team had the pleasure of attending the City of Ale 2026 Launch Party in Norwich, where brewers, pub operators, suppliers, and beer enthusiasts from across the industry came together to celebrate the launch of another fantastic City of Ale season. 🍺😍

Our “Tivoli” maltings in Hamburg, surrounded by stunning crocuses back in February! 😍
First built in 1922, it's one of the biggest maltings in Germany. The huge acreage of farmland in northern Germany and southern Denmark is perfect for spring barley that makes a classic German pilsner style malt. Read more about our Hamburg site here ➡️ https://hubs.ly/Q04hgwpT0

A close up of the good stuff 😍
This Buccaneer winter barley is growing just 3 miles from our Great Ryburgh malting site! There has been great establishment on the lighter soils in Norfolk, and as you can see, we're seeing it come out into ear already. This could mean for an early harvest this year! 🌾

This time last week, we welcomed brewers, distillers, and industry professionals to our Great Ryburgh malting site for an education day. 🌾📚

Guests joined us for a journey from field to malt, learning more about our farmers, Field Forward, and supply chain, before exploring grain intake, sampling, testing, storage, and the craft behind producing our finest malt.

A huge thank you to everyone who attended; we hope you enjoyed the day as much as we did.
