Pick up any “calm” or “focus” drink with Lion’s Mane, ashwagandha, whatever adaptogen’s trending. Now check what claim they’re actually allowed to make.
In the UK, most of those trendy botanicals don’t have an authorised health claim — not for calm, not for focus, not for stress. The ASA’s banned ads for saying exactly that.
So how do these brands make an energy or mood claim at all? B vitamins. Thiamine, B6, B12 — these carry real authorised wording: “reduces tiredness and fatigue,” “supports normal psychological function.” Hit 15% of your daily value and legally, you can print that.
The mushroom’s on the label for the story. The vitamin’s doing the legal work.
We put Lion’s Mane in Sol Mate too — dosed, sourced, on the can. We just don’t attach a claim to it we’re not allowed to make.
