A pioneering new release from County Cork’s iconic Midleton Distillery

Finished in hogshead casks crafted from Irish sweet chestnut, this is the result of an eight-year exploration, led by Midleton’s Master Distiller Kevin O’Gorman. Six Irish sweet chestnut trees were hand-picked by the distillery’s specialist forestry team, with their timber left to air dry for two years before being coopered into 250-litre hogshead casks. The result is an exceptionally rare and characterful expression, defined by a rich, sweet character, with layers of indulgent caramel complemented by distinctive earthy wood notes.

A small batch release, the Devil’s Casks 10 Year Old is matured in first-fill oloroso sherry casks with a Pedro Ximénez cask finish and presented at cask strength, 56.6% abv, without artificial colour or chill filtration.

Bowmore’s soft smoke is very much on the back foot here, partially obscured by the rich influence of the sherry casks, and the wh**ky is deceptively soft despite its high abv; a few drops of water turn down the heat without breaking its devilish spell.

Start the new year with a bang… 💥

We have a Wh**ky Shop Exclusive single cask Penderyn in store!

Matured in an ex stout cask, this single malt packs a punch at 60.4% abv.

It’s nose is green apple, ripe peach, oak and soft vanilla with hints of milk chocolate and a hoppy bitterness.
On the palate its creamy mouthfeel reveals a sweet maltiness, dark fruits, layers of chocolate fudge, subtle espresso and warming spices like nutmeg and cinnamon. Its finish is long with oak tannins, malt, roasted coffee and rich chocolate.

There are only 225 of these available, you won’t want to miss this one!

Gordon & MacPhail Craigellachie.

This single cask yielded 264 bottles.

A UK exclusive, it was matured in a refill American oak hogshead.

Bottled at 60.1% abv, you can expect lemon and apricot aromas. On the palate it’s sweet clementine, honeycomb and grapefruit.

What a dram! 🥃

Red Spot.

Matured for a minimum of 15 years, this single pot still Irish wh***ey is a combination of wh***ey from bourbon, Spanish sherry butts and Marsala w**e casks.

Apple, mango, cherry, waves of pot still spices, oak and barley with a hint of black pepper… a treat in a glass! 🥃

Lochlea - Overtone

Over & Stout!

A small batch release of 1500 bottles, the Overtone has been finished in stout seasoned casks.

Non chill filtered and natural colour, this single malt is full of creamy vanilla and rich bbq smoke. It’s earthy, chocolatey, cinder toffee notes, with oak, rye bread and cereal notes.

A family run independent distillery, these guys grow their own barley, distill, mature and cask on site.🙌🏼

These were so popular last year for their first release, they won’t hang about for long. 🎁

SPEY 12 - Brume Dorée.

Cask strength at 57.6% abv, this single malt has been finished in Brume Dorée, 400 litre, French oak casks.

On the nose you can expect rich vanilla, toffee hints of cardamom and delicate cranberry.
Its palate is balanced, oily and smooth with flavours of stewed apple and new oak. Its finish is long, lingering and robust with hints of liquorice and an undertone of oolong tea.
