You alright there Denzil?

Coloured wensleydale fleeces are fascinating - when Denzil was shorn this year, her fleece was almost pure black.... She's regrowing it as a gorgeous silver!

I love having a mix of colours of fleeces to work on.

Do you like a baa baa black sheep? Or prefer whites, silvers of greys? Or browns even?

What colour fleece would your dream sheep have?!

Our next sheep showing that the grass is still green and not entirely eaten is Caja!

Caja means "Daisy" in Cornish, but she often goes by the nickname "curious" as she is definitely our most curious of sheep. Since she was a tiny lamb she's always wanted to know "wasson" (what's happening!). She's always one of the first to come and see what's to do!

Moved the sheep off their "summer" grazing today and onto the Autumn grazing. This should have been around wellie height grass, if it had not been for the drought. I'm just really pleased that they are on something green!

As you can see, Elester is even confused after almost 10 weeks of nothing green on the ground!

This grazing will only keep them going for a short while, as it has not had the chance to grow, but we have to move sheep around to reduce the parasites on each set of our grazing, so they will be on silage as well as this short grass.

A huge thanks to my Pa and my partner for today's move!

I have been doing so much work on plain, natural coloured suri alpaca for a handful of doll making customers, and I must admit I do get fed up with doing the same thing over and over

So I thought I'd treat myself to doing a dye batch of suri in one of my favourite colour schemes... some pinks, purples, teals and blues

What doll, or creation would you use this for?

Polite notice - if you come onto my page to swear and be offensive, you will be blocked and banned.

Apologies to anyone who saw the idiot comment earlier on.... A climate change denier decided to get obnoxious.

Please do feel free to report any comments to me, thanks!

Well I guess we are in rainy season now.

This is when we will get floods - after months and months of our clay soil baking, the water is just going to run off rather than soak in.

Never happy with the weather 🙃 😅 😆

But today is serious planning for the upcoming winter, what we need to do with our buildings, trying to pre order winter fodder etc.

Was talking to a farmer this week who's been farming 60 years and was born up on the Moor, he's seen all weathers come and go, and he said "some people need to wake up. We have climate change. This winter will be flooding and torrential rain. Next summer will be hotter and drier than this...."

I take this kind of advice and experience and expertise on board, he was farming before I was born!

Have a good Sunday all!
