This morning around 10am, Plantuguese was broken into. Thankfully none of us were inside at the time. The man smashed our toilet window and stole cash from our tills.

While checking the CCTV later, we spotted him walking down the street nearby. We ran after him and managed to catch up with him. During the chase, he picked up a shovel he found and tried to confront us with it, while also jumping over fences trying to get away,but thanks to determination, courage, and the unbelievable support from people around us, we managed to stop him.

Today really showed us what community spirit in Bristol means. Complete strangers stepped in to help, support us, and make sure we were okay. We honestly can’t thank everyone enough ❤️

Small independent businesses go through so much behind the scenes, and today could have been much worse. We’re just grateful nobody was hurt and incredibly thankful for this amazing community standing beside us.

Vegan sardines, anyone? 🐟🌱

Every time we are in Portugal, we realized that seafood,especially those iconic Portuguese sardines was one of the flavors we missed most as vegans… so of course, we had to bring that experience to the UK! 🇵🇹✨

Our vegan sardines are made with tofu and nori, grilled to perfection, sprinkled with Portuguese sea salt for that perfect salty bite, and served on warm sourdough with our homemade roasted pepper spread 🤤

At Plantuguese, you’ll never have to miss the flavors of Portuguese seafood again!

Now the real question is… should we get a charcoal grill for our kitchen to take this flavor to the next level? 👀🔥

While it might feel like vegan options are disappearing from shelves and menus across the UK, we’re going in the opposite direction.

At Plantuguese, we’re constantly working behind the scenes to bring you more flavour, more creativity, and more delicious vegan dishes. A brand new summer menu is on the way, and we’re also refining our festival menu and we are almost ready to serve vibrant, nourishing, and flavour packed vegan meals all summer long.🌞😎

In the meantime… this beauty speaks for itself.

Our Arroz de Marisco 🌊✨
A true burst of flavour, featuring vegan prawns, hearts of palm “fish,” and tender vegan octopus pieces. Rich, comforting, and full of that unmistakable Portuguese seaside feeling.
