My only other Sunday job this year! Third time for this lovely family, this time celebrating a 90th! 🌻

A cold fork buffet included dishes such as poached salmon with lemon & dill creme fraiche, rare roast beef, Greek salad, heirloom tomato, mozzarella & basil, with desserts of profiteroles, white chocolate & raspberry cheesecake and lemon meringue pie! 🍋

Day off tomorrow...I say day off, I have plenty of emails to catch up with before two weddings next weekend! 🥂

Today's business lunch didn't have to go far as it was only going to the neighbouring farm! Quiche (garlic mushroom & blue cheese and leek & parmesan) with pesto, parmesan pasta salad and couscous with roasted tomato, squash & pine nuts was followed by tiramisu!

After all the amazing weather, we had to adapt today's bbq celebrating a ruby wedding for nearly 100 guests! We cooked all the meat at HQ then transported it in thermo boxes ready to go in the chafers! We'll always find a way!

Burgers, minted lamb, lemon chicken & salmon were followed by massive pavlova slabs, malteser cheesecakes & my favourite - tiramisu!

Despite the wind & rain, the DJ spun his tunes, the wine was flowing & there was plenty of laughter! Congratulations on 40 years married! 🥂

What a weekend! I don't tend to do Sundays much any more, but today's golden wedding was booked a year ago & I couldn't say no! It was missing out on events like this that made me cut back on weddings. It took me an hour to set up a mix of fork & finger food which included poached salmon with a lemon & dill creme fraiche, roast beef & watercress, quiches, chicken satay, chocolate orange cheesecake, trifle & profiteroles! I made some separate quiche & puds for the gluten free guests so hopefully there'll be lots of full bellies this evening!

A funeral tea delivered to my café today - The Laurel is available for up to 60 people & The Laurel at Bates Green here...

A funeral tea delivered to my café today - The Laurel is available for up to 60 people & The Laurel at Bates Green here on the farm is available for 100+!
