๐Ÿ“ข Big News! ๐Ÿ“ข
The time has come to say goodbye to Berry Croft.

Iโ€™ve sold the croft, and berry side of the business, to Jane Sudds ๐Ÿ“๐Ÿซ. We wish Jane all the success with her endeavours!

But worry not - I havenโ€™t packed away my jam pans quite yet - I will keep making my preserves from my new home in Reay ๐Ÿ“๐ŸŠ๐Ÿ๐ŸŽ๐Ÿ…๐Ÿง…๐Ÿซš๐Ÿฏโœจ
I will still be supplying the same local shops with jams and preserves, and you can also order online anytime at caithnesssummerfruits.co.uk ๐Ÿ’ป

Leaving Harpsdale after nearly 40 years is bittersweet. George and I moved there with Neil and Robert as small boys in 1986, and it was Ginaโ€™s first home๐Ÿกโค๏ธ We started with just two cows and went on quite the journey over four decadesโ€”from growing veggies, to producing fuel peat, to a salesman convincing us to grow strawberries in polytunnels! ๐Ÿ“๐ŸŒฑ

From selling fruit in the pouring rain at my first Halkirk Games, to muddy (and sunny!) days at the Caithness County Show, and over 20 years at the Wick Market in every weather imaginable ๐ŸŒง๏ธ๐Ÿ’จโ˜€๏ธโ„๏ธโ€”I have loved every minute (well maybe not every minuteโ€ฆ ๐Ÿ˜…)

All the support and advice both family and friends have given me over the years has been invaluable - from covering tunnels to holding on to a gazebo in galeforce winds, and particularly those who supported after Georgeโ€™s passing in 2016. I could never list everyone by name, but thank you! ๐Ÿ’œ

The most rewarding part of Berry Croft has been seeing our customers leave with a smile, and working with so many wonderful young (and older ๐Ÿ˜‰) folk over the years. Watching you grow up and achieve your dreams all over the world has been the ultimate reward. ๐ŸŒโœจ

Now to take it a bit easier and have more time with my Grandberries ๐Ÿ“๐Ÿซ๐Ÿ“๐Ÿซ๐Ÿ“๐Ÿซ๐Ÿ“
