Ever since I could remember cooking meant magic...

🍳The best time ever spent with mum. She was just doing her thing... I was discovering my roots and blending traditions. Jacket potatoes at school, hand-made spring rolls & fish soup at home.

🍳Holidays at the family home in the Philippines. Food. People. BBQ. Chats long into the night. Snacks. Early mornings. Hot sweet bread rolls from the bakery around the corner. Days at the beach. Grilling fresh fish.

🍳Travelling around Europe - food everywhere. Spending days dragging whoever would give in, to the smallest, most remote cafes. Chatting with locals, collecting recipes.

Food = joy = friendships = memories = sharing = celebrations.

This is me on that photo 👆🏻 - in a restaurant kitchen on Bantayan Island, Philippines (circa 2010 🙈) - teaching a local chef what a REAL fish & chips is all about. This wasn't planned, I was just a customer there ! But it was magical. Because, well, food is what brings magic to the table (literally).

I’ve been quiet for a while. As restaurants reopen this week - I’ve been needed in London more. BUT. Just because we don’t have a menu on this week doesn’t mean we aren’t busy behind the scenes. A lot of you have asked about booking cooking lessons and purchasing gift vouchers for birthdays and other special occasions (massive thanks to those who have already purchased 🙌🏻) so YES - WE DO OFFER COOKING LESSONS one-to-one and in groups. If this is your kind of thing or if you’re looking for a fun thing to do with your friends - give us a shout ! 🍔🥗🥘

FLASH SALE ! There’s no menu this Friday BUT I have been asked to cook on WEDNESDAY instead for some of our regulars. IF YOU WANT IN on some Chicken Katsu, Coconut Rice, Pickled Ginger & Teriyaki Cucumber Salad OR Lemon & Thyme Roadted Cod with Saffron Bulgur, Grilled Broccoli, Greek Feta AND Finish-at-Home Chocolate Fondant DM ME. I’ll take first 5 orders.

We don’t usually make American Pancakes - we tend to stick to crepes (and yes me made those today too!!). BUT when the mood is right and the bananas are caramelising on the pan... one does what one feels called to do. We added berries, mint & some maple syrup too. Delish !
