I can confirm that the research is going very well.

The Harrogate Butcher is shut this Tuesday, but we’re back open from Wednesday as normal. The lads will be looking after the shop, so don’t worry — the butcher’s is doing great! 😎

As for me…

I’ll see you all on Saturday after a few days of very important market research, quality control and investigating exactly how much meat and beer can be consumed in a short space of time. 😂🍺🥩

Someone has to do it.

The shop is in safe hands, the lads have got it covered, and I’ll be back Saturday ready to get stuck back into the proper stuff:

It's an honour to work with pork of this quality.

This beautiful rare breed pork comes from just up the road in Thirsk, and you can see the difference straight away. The deep marbling running through the meat is what gives it that incredible flavour, tenderness and juiciness when cooked.

The truth is, pigs don't look like this by accident. This is what happens when animals are properly reared, well fed and given the time they need to develop naturally. Good farming creates great meat, and we're proud to support local producers who share the same standards we do.

One of the biggest advantages of buying whole animals and butchering everything in-house is that nothing goes to waste and quality is maintained throughout. The same premium pork you see here also goes into our handmade sausages, burgers and other pork products in the counter.

From farm to counter, we're involved every step of the way to make sure you're getting the very best.
