🌟 Two HAF Programmes. One Shared Vision. 🌟
This summer, we're delighted to be offering two unique Holiday Activities & Food (HAF) provisions, each thoughtfully designed around the needs of the children and young people who attend.
💛 ROSSMERE – Ages 6–11
Our Rossmere provision is full of creativity, curiosity and connection. Children can expect a welcoming environment where every day includes opportunities to:
🎨 Create and make
🍎 Cook and explore healthy food
🌿 Spend time outdoors
🎲 Play games and build friendships
🔬 Investigate STEM activities
💛 Develop confidence through child-led experiences
We know that every child learns and socialises differently, so there is never pressure to join in every activity. Quiet spaces, sensory resources, movement breaks and trusted adults are all part of our everyday practice.

⭐ NORTH STAR LEARNING HUB @ HARTLEPOOL WORKSHOPS – Ages 11–14
Our secondary provision has been designed with older children in mind.
Many young people tell us they don't want to spend the holidays doing "school activities" - they want somewhere to belong, relax, build confidence and spend time with people who understand them.
So that's exactly what we've created.
☕ Café social space
🎮 Games and challenges
🎨 Creative workshops
🚶 Community walks and activities
🧠 STEM and practical projects
🤝 Opportunities to develop independence, confidence and friendships
The pace is calmer, expectations are low-demand and participation is always encouraged rather than required. Young people are supported to regulate, recharge and simply be themselves.

🌈 Our Approach
Whether a child joins us at Rossmere or The Workshops, one thing remains the same.
We believe children thrive when they feel:
✨ Safe
✨ Valued
✨ Understood
✨ Accepted
Our team takes a holistic, neuro-affirming approach, recognising that behaviour is communication and that every child has unique strengths, interests and ways of engaging with the world.
We celebrate individuality, provide predictable routines alongside flexibility, and create environments where children can build confidence without pressure or comparison.
Because holidays should be about more than keeping busy.
They should be about making memories, discovering new interests, building friendships and leaving with a little more confidence than when you arrived.
💙 Additional Support
If your child has SEND, additional needs or would benefit from reasonable adjustments or extra support, we encourage you to get in touch as early as possible.
We will always do our very best to make our provision accessible and inclusive. While our staffing and resources are finite, early conversations give us the greatest opportunity to plan, make adaptations and explore how we can best support your child to have a positive experience.
Please don't hesitate to reach out - we're always happy to chat.
🌟 Not Sure If You're Eligible?
We'd also encourage any family who feels their child would benefit from our HAF provision to apply, even if you don't think you're eligible under the standard criteria.
Alongside our funded HAF places, we have access to a limited number of additional spaces for families who may not ordinarily qualify. These places are allocated subject to availability and funding, so it's always worth submitting an application or contacting us for a conversation.
Please don't assume the answer is no - get in touch and let's see what might be possible.
💛 We can't wait to welcome returning families and meet lots of new faces this summer.
