We always recommend our raised bed soil mix for use in your raised beds. It is a perfectly blended mix of our premium topsoil and compost, designed to provide optimal growing conditions for your plants.🌻🥕

The compost provides you with all the lovely nutrients and the topsoil will help retain the moisture and improve the root structure of your plants.

The mix is screened down to 10mm and has added grit for drainage, ensuring it is easy to rake and work with.

It's dry stored in our own sheds, which means it is protected from the elements, ensuring consistent quality and readiness for use.

You can order now via our website, where you can choose your preferred delivery date Monday to Friday.

Top Tip for Raised Beds
Using plain brown cardboard at the bottom of your raised beds is a smart and eco-friendly choice. It serves as an effective biodegradable barrier and gradually decomposes into organic matter, enriching the soil as it breaks down.

Little and Often: That's Our Motto for Cutting Newly Laid Turf

Once your turf starts growing and is fully rooted into the soil, begin giving your grass frequent, small trims. We recommend trimming your turf by one-third of the total height of the grass. This approach is better than allowing it to grow tall and cutting it all at once. Little and often.

Dovercourt beach is great for families or for people who prefer a more peaceful and tranquil day out.

If you are coming to collect some turf from our yard over the summer, why not pop into Dovercourt first and grab an ice cream on Lower Marine Parade.
Dovercourt is located next door to the Historic Town of Harwich.

We are open for pre-booked collections only. Please phone our office on 01255 886096 to get your collection booked in.

There is no minimum order for collections (you can just pick up one roll if that's all you need).
