We’re so happy to be able to share that our yard is now officially out of lockdown and the recent strangles outbreak is over!

After a challenging few weeks, we’re incredibly relieved and grateful to have reached this point. We have had no new cases or symptoms for over 21 days, and throughout the outbreak our yard, staff and liveries have all worked together to follow veterinary guidance and do everything possible to keep our horses safe.

It hasn’t always been easy, but everyone has shown such patience, understanding and support for one another. We’re incredibly proud of how everyone pulled together during this time.

A huge thank you to our staff, liveries and vets for all their hard work, cooperation and commitment. Thanks to everyone doing their bit and following the guidance, we can now finally put this behind us and get back to enjoying our lovely yard and horses again! 🥰🐴

It’s been a really difficult week, and gestures like this mean more than you know. Times like these really remind you what a fantastic community we have, and how lucky we are to have such kind and supportive people around us.

Unfortunately, I can confirm that we have had one confirmed case of Strangles on the yard. The horse in question is no longer on site and has been taken from leahurst to its own private yard with no other horses on site . As a precautionary measure we have put all bio security measures in place. All horses and ponies have been quarantined immediately on confirmation of the case and the yard is on complete lock down for 21 days. In over 15 years this is our first case of Strangles so we are working in conjunction with our vets and following all guidance and advice.
Obviously this is a very difficult time for the yard and the liveries so we please request that everyone be kind. Thanks in advance. The CBF team ###

Requirements:

* Previous horse care and yard experience is essential.
* Confident handling a variety of horses.
* Able to work efficiently on your own and as part of a team.
* Hardworking, reliable, and trustworthy.

Duties include all general yard tasks such as mucking out, feeding, turning horses in/out, filling hay nets, and maintaining a high standard of care.
