We’ve teamed up with local artist Luke Garvey to create our first-ever limited-edition lunch box. We gave Luke no instructions other than the box dimensions, so every design is entirely his own work, inspired by his time enjoying lunches at Thai In Town.

A little way for us to showcase local talent and support one another.

We’ll be using them over the coming days, so keep an eye out for one with your next order!

Day 1 – The Little Window-Kicking Committee paid us a visit and smashed our door.

Day 2 – Hastings poured in with an incredible amount of love and support.

Day 3 – We sold 70 bags of Crispy Treats for £2 each to thank all you lovely people.

Day 4 – We donated all the proceeds and donations to Cancer Research UK. £185 raised!

Day 5 – Window broken. Spirits intact. Kindness wins. Hastings, you are amazing. ❤️

Love Always Wins ❤️

The last few days have reaffirmed our belief that love will always win. Your support, encouragement and kindness have truly turned an unfortunate incident into something positive for us — and for that, everyone at Thai In Town would like to say thank you.

A lot of you have come forward with offers of donations towards the new glass door, and we are truly humbled by your generosity. While we ultimately decided not to accept the financial contributions, the kindness behind those offers means so much more to us. We really can’t thank you enough.

We would like to thank Elliot (and Jordan) at ELS Installation-Solutions for helping to sort out our door so quickly.

We would also like to thank Hastings Council and Sussex Police for reaching out and offering their support.

Negative actions don’t have to create more negative actions.

This Friday, our Crispy Treats will be just £2, or completely free with an order over £25, and we’ll donate 100% of the sales of Crispy Treats, without deducting any costs, directly to Cancer Research UK.

What happened to us on Sunday was upsetting, but it reminded us that even in difficult moments, there is always an opportunity to do something good. Cancer is something that touches so many families and can turn lives upside down. So, we thought we’d take all the love and kindness you’ve shown us and pass that love forward and help make a difference together.

At 6:50am on Sunday morning, someone thought it was a good idea to smash our glass shop door, seemingly for no reason other than to cause damage.

It may have been a very small, mindless and destructive action to them, but it has now caused a big ripple effect for our business. It is hard enough to make ends meet in today’s economic climate, and this senseless act will unfortunately set us back financially.

We have always been proud to be part of this amazing town and to contribute to the community we call home. We really don’t feel we deserve to be put in this situation.

We would really appreciate your help in identifying this individual. If anyone recognises them or knows who they are, we would be incredibly grateful if you could let us know so that we can pass the information on to the police and let them deal with the matter appropriately.

We would also really appreciate some help from anyone in our community who works in the glass replacement business. If you can recommend someone who could help us replace the glass panel, please get in touch.

Lastly, we believe that negativity only creates more negativity. So, may this senseless act end here with us.

We wish our community love, unity and harmony, and hope that together we can continue to build an even better town for everyone. ❤️

We did it. Or rather, YOU did it.

Remember a few months ago when we aggressively asked you to vote for us in the Good Food Awards 2026/2027? And you kindly did?

Turns out we are now once again, officially award-winning (which means we’ll be insufferably proud of ourselves for at least the next few months).

We honestly never take your support for granted. Every vote, every visit, every takeaway, every kind word, every time you tell a friend about us — it all means more to our little team than you probably realise. We literally couldn’t have done it without you!

There’s more to come from our team, and we hope you’ll be there to share the journey with us.
