Farm Fresh Turkey from Pembrokeshire

The Davies family at Cuckoo Mill Farm have been producing turkeys in the traditional manner for over fifty years. Established in 1958, Margaret Davies affectionately known as 'Mama' hatched her first hens in time for Christmas. Today, the three generations at Cuckoo Mill are involved in the daily running of the farm and produce turkeys all through the year for high class butchers' shops throughout Wales. Mama's Top Turkey Tips:

Visit us at a farmers' market and try our homemade stuffed breast rolls as a Sunday lunch treat! For a mid-week light supper – sample our fillets – wrapped in bacon or with Mama's homemade stuffing. A change from stewing steak - Use our turkey diced thigh meat for curries and casseroles. Products:

Specializing in the traditional whole turkeys, crowns and saddles. Breast rolls, fillets and thigh joints. Also available catering stags for wholesale butcheries.

Autumn at Cuckoo Mill 🍂🍁🦃

As the season changes, the chickens are enjoying the comfort of their shelters, bedded down on home-grown wheat straw 🌾

Our Welsh Mountain ponies and foals are moving to their winter pastures, Mama’s apple tree has given us apples, and the hedgerows are full of blackberries.

Ready for apple and blackberry crumbles (hinting at Mother Hen Julie for a pudding soon ❤️).

Martin here 👋

On Sunday 4th October I am running the Cardiff Half Marathon. I’ve ran this race several times for a sponsored charity.

This year is extra special to me.

I am running in memory of a close friend and work-mate, Andrew Rogers, and to raise awareness and funds for Blood Bikes Wales - a charity that meant a great deal to him and one he proudly volunteered for as a biker.

Andrew gave his time to help others through this incredible service, and I’m honoured to be able to continue supporting a cause that was so close to his heart.

Blood Bikes Wales is a 100% volunteer charity based in Wales, providing completely free courier service to the NHS, delivering blood samples, plasma, donor milk, documents and other items all over Wales. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 🏍️🩸

If you’re able to support my fundraising, Andrew’s family and I would be incredibly grateful. Every penny raised will go towards helping people across Wales through the vital service provided by Blood Bikes Wales.

It’s a happy birthday to our Mother Hen (the real boss!) Julie today!

The one who keeps the engine of the family in check ❤️, the go-to for turkey cooking instructions 🦃, the one who never lets any visitor leave Cuckoo Mill hungry!

Mother Hen Julie is an expert in always ‘keeping the wheels on the wagon’ and the queen of multi-tasking (at high speed!).

We celebrated in London last weekend and today involves a lot of Colin the Caterpillar cake with her 3 little grandsons and their little friends! 💙💙💙

68 years and 4 generations of welcoming ‘day old turkeys’ to Cuckoo Mill Farm. 🦃

The anticipation of the annual July arrival is always high and our youngest recruits are so eager to learn and help their Bapa and Cu (Julie and Martin).

The work load increases dramatically here on in but serving our wonderful and loyal customers for almost 70 years is something we’re so proud of and never ever take for granted ❤️

Our turkey and chicken product range can fit into any recipe! We used diced turkey thigh and breast to make into a curry. (Keeping it simple for our little people to enjoy too!)

Add friends, cold beverages (and your Mama’s favourite tureen and ladle!) and you have yourself a perfect evening! 🍻
