Harvest 26 is now all gathered in safely. Yields of the Heritage wheat have fared well considering these older varieties are more about quality and flavour rather than yield.
The growing conditions have been challenging, thankfully growth and moisture in the spring here in Wales was good. Timely cultivations and drilling in the autumn and spring were ideal for good establishment. The only input used was the Car-y-Mor farmed liquid seaweed biostimulant from St Davids at the tillering stage prior stem elongation. Think this helped carry through the growth stages as the dry weather started to bite.
