Finally got the chance to jar up our spring crop of honey. 🌷🐝 We think our lovely back-garden bees have found a local field of oilseed as the honey is very pale.🤔 So it may set quite quickly. If you prefer it runny, just put the jar in some hot water for a few minutes before you use it.🍯

Thank you to all of you who have bought our honey direct from us and from Wigginton Stores & Deli in the last year. From each jar purchased we have donated an amount to Yorkshire Wildlife Trust to help them manage and restore wildlife & wild places locally. 🐞🦉🦋🌳🌼🎉❤️👏

We have just delivered the final jars of last year's harvest to Wigginton Stores & Deli. Our next harvest will probably be in June - it depends on the weather and how busy the bees are 😃- We'll post when we have more jars available. 🐝

Please keep an eye out for the invasive yellow legged (Asian) Hornet. They have already been sighted in Malton and they are a threat to our native honey bees 😨🐝

The yellow-legged hornet was recently spotted by a member of the public near Malton.

Our lovely back-garden bees have decided we needed to try set honey! 🐝👏

All honey will set over time (unless it has been heat-treated) - crystalisation is a sign of good unadulterated honey. But the rate of crystalisation can vary depending on the balance of glucose and fructose in the nectar that the bees have been feeding on that season.

This year our early harvest has set very quickly to a lovely soft creamy consistency. Ideal for spreading on toast.😋

It is available direct from us (DM to order your jars) or at Wigginton Stores & Deli.

If you prefer runny honey, simply stand the jar in a saucepan of water and heat gently (~40-50°C) until it returns to its liquid state.🍯
